Plan: League

The race, on every screen your crew owns.

Open a cloud room and your timing board is live in any browser: a read-only board for viewers and commentators, Director Controls for a co-director you trust, and a desk and chat for your stewards.

The Windows app stays with iRacing and the stream, and checks every remote command before it touches the broadcast.

Cloud live timing is part of League. Rooms that are live and listed publicly appear in the live timing app.

The app's own live timing board, running its built-in demo with sample data. Viewers open the same board from a room link. Open full screen · See live rooms

Who sees what.

Each guest joins from a link with the role you give them. Nothing to install: a phone or a PC browser is enough.

A controller invite needs Multi-PC, which League includes. Stewards join through a controller invite with the steward desk ticked; what else they may do is set in the steward settings.

Remote stewards, with you on the button.

Steward Chat is one shared room for you and every remote steward, beside the timing they are watching. What they want on air comes to you first.

  • One roomEveryone sees every message, and a reply sits under the message it answers.
  • ImportantAn Important message stays highlighted and raises an alert in the control window until you click Acknowledge.
  • Your veto cueSteward messages meant for air land in the same veto cue as Auto Race Control, never straight on air.

Severity classes

  1. UrgentAirs after a short catch window.
  2. InfoAirs after a longer catch window.
  3. OfficialHolds until you send it.

You tune the catch windows in Auto Race Control.

How Auto Race Control handles the cue

Your room, your rules.

Open a cloud session from Cloud Timing in the app and choose who gets in. Secrets ride in the link itself, never on the server.

  • Open link or invite onlyAnyone with an open link can watch. An invite-only room admits only the guests you invite.
  • A room code, a link and a QRCopy the link or show the QR on stream. Rotate the link to issue a new code and drop everyone holding the old one.
  • Labelled invitesCreate viewer and controller invites, each with its own label and link, and revoke any of them.
  • Connected guestsSee everyone by role. Promote a viewer to controller, demote, or remove a guest.
  • A public listing, if you want itAn open-link room can be listed on the public browse page with its own name. You choose whether open boards show iRating and licence.
  • StatusThe publishing rate and connection health are in the app. Publishing pauses while nobody is connected and resumes on the first join.

What it needs.

  • Nothing for guestsViewers, controllers and stewards open a link in a browser. Only the host runs the app.
  • Internet on the host PCThe app publishes from the PC connected to iRacing, through the EDR Broadcast cloud relay.
  • A few seconds, at worstThe remote board syncs over the network, so a large field or a weak connection can put it a few seconds behind. Refresh the browser, or check Status in the app.
  • LeagueThe cloud relay, cloud live timing, remote browser control and remote stewards are League features, and Enterprise includes them.

Questions.

Planning a remote crew? Read the live timing guide and the remote crew workflow.

Do viewers need to install anything?

No. The read-only timing board opens from a link in any browser, on a phone or a PC.

Can a viewer change the broadcast?

No. A viewer’s board is read-only. Camera, replay and overlay controls go only to guests you invite as controllers, and the host checks every command.

Does cloud timing replace OBS or vMix?

No. EDR Broadcast supplies the timing, the remote controls and the overlays. OBS or vMix still captures the sim, mixes the programme and sends the stream.

How far behind is the remote board?

The remote board syncs over the network, so a large field or a weak connection can lag it a few seconds; the Status part of Cloud Timing shows the live rate and connection health.

Which plan includes cloud live timing?

League, and Enterprise. The cloud relay, cloud live timing, remote browser control and remote stewards are League features.

Run your own show.

League adds the cloud relay, cloud live timing, remote browser control and remote stewards, on up to 5 machines.
